Aditya Resort
Summary
Located on a pristine stretch of Sri Lanka’s golden southwest coast, Aditya offers its guests the peace and serenity of a luxury beach escape, whilst also providing convenient proximity to many of the region’s most famous attractions. A short drive eastwards along the coast leads to the Dutch colonial city of Galle, famous for its UNESCO-protected Fort; and to Mirissa, one of the best places in the country to go whale-watching. To the west, Aditya also acts as the perfect jumping off point for the surfing and snorkelling hotspots of Hikkaduwa. For those that simply want to relax, however, there is no need to leave the premises of this laid-back resort, which offers the significant pleasures of exceptional cuisine, indulgent spa treatments, and first-class service presented together in one delightful package.

Location

Most areas of Sri Lanka are consistently hot and humid all year round, and the south coast is no exception. In order to avoid the wet weather of the southwest monsoon, travellers are advised to visit Galle and its surrounding areas any time between November and May.

Dining |
Dining at Aditya is proudly unconventional, allowing guests to choose when and where they wish to have their meals. Private tables can be set up almost anywhere upon request, and potential dining experiences at the resort include romantic candlelit dinners for two in the garden, or a private barbecue party on the beach.
Aditya also has its own dedicated restaurant, whose open spaces overlook the garden and the beach and whose chef is happy to cater especially to any culinary preferences or requirements. Alternatively, guests may choose from the resort’s extensive a la carte menu, which specialises particularly in fresh seafood.
Aditya also boasts an elegant poolside bar, whose menu features a comprehensive range of wines, spirits and cocktails.
Each of the twelve suites at Aditya is named after one of the solar deities of Hindu mythology. All suites are quite unique in terms of layout and decor, and feature authentic artwork and antiques from across the Orient. Standard amenities offered by all accommodation options include a large-screen television, a DVD/CD player, a mini-bar, an in-room safe and his & her sinks. Most spectacularly, all suites at Aditya come complete with their own private plunge pool.
Shanthi Suites
Covering 700 square feet of space and boasting picturesque courtyard views, the Shanthi Suites are defined by a range of exciting design features that differ from one suite to the next. Each one offers exquisite furnishings, luxury amenities, and the chance to relax in perfect privacy.
Sagara Suites
These decadent suites feature 1,200 square feet of space in addition to a truly spectacular ocean view. The Sagara Suites offer a luxuriously large bathroom, beautifully-appointed interiors, and of course, a private balcony from which to enjoy the sunset every evening.
Surya Suite
As the most opulent of Aditya’s accommodation options, the Surya Suite sprawls across two floors and covers a staggering 1,800 square feet of space. The lower level takes the form of an expansive living area in which to relax and unwind; whilst the upper floor hosts a magnificently proportioned master bedroom. The Surya Suite comes complete with a private sun-deck and an open air plunge pool, both of which overlook breathtaking views of the ocean.
