The Tower 23 is a unique and sophisticated beach hotel which is completely non-smoking just a stone's throw away from the Pacific ocean. Located in the heart of the Pacific beach area the hotel derives its name from the lifeguard tower number 23 which was set right in front of the hotel. Enjoy some sumptuous food in JRDN the in-house restaurant which is a favourite with the locals too. The rooms are spacious and provide comfort and privacy for its residents. Each room comes equipped with either a patio or balcony to relax and enjoy the ocean breeze.

San Diego Airport is 20-minutes from the hotel. Delta, United, American & BA fly in here. Take a scenic train route along the southern coast, to San Diego station, 15 minutes car drive from the hotel.
Best time to go
March - May & Septemeber - November is the perfect times to visit this area. Typically year around they have a warm weather, however, May & June are rainy and so also the winter months, which does not make it great as a beach location.
Our thoughts
The hotel enjoys an excellent location being situated right in the heart of the Pacific Beach district. A number of attractions are nearby from the hotel, and the biggest of them all the Pacific Beach is just a stone's throw away. Fresh seafood is a great draw, plus the service is quite exceptional at the hotel. It is quite and spacious in the rooms, with the sounds of the oceans just beyond the room doors. A great place for beach lovers, couples and families to stay.

JRDN - a seafood and steak restaurant with informally sophisticated cuisine for lunch and dinner. The ambience is very upbeat, cool and fresh which moves from Cali casual to hip west coast as the evening comes on. A 70-foot long wave wall uses colour changing light effects to showcase a theatrical effect of the setting sun of Pacific Beach. The food is trendy, classic and full of flavour reflective of the season.
Tower Deck - situated on the second floor, this beach experience is only for hotel guests. The ambience is very much south cal cocktail, with small nibbles, music and drinks that make give you a California vibe. It's also a great place to enjoy a spectacular San Diego sunset on a teak chaise with a sundowner.
Sweet SUITE
The ocean front suite has two spacious rooms - a bedroom with a king size bed and a living room. Relax on the additional private balcony, and enjoy the wet bar, of the living room. The bathroom features a luxurious Chromatherapy floating whirlpool Jacuzzi tub and a rain shower for washing off from a day at the beach. The room can be made into a 2 bedroom suite with a connecting surf pad.
Sanctuary SUITE
The sanctuary suites are fitted with a luxurious chromatherapy floating whirlpool Jacuzzi tub. This gives you an illusion of water falling from the sky, and you can enjoy a separate step-in rain shower. The room also features a sitting area with a pull out sleeper sofa (queen size), wet bar, private patio/balcony and is fitted with a king size bed.
Surf Pad
The Surf Pad rooms are available either with one king bed or two queen beds. It offers the ultimate ocean view to watch from your balcony as you sip some sundowners. Look out towards the bustling boardwalk and enjoy a magnificent sunset as you enjoy the designer amenities this room provides.
Sky Pad
The Sky Pads are located on the 2nd or 3rd floor and offer partial views of the sparkling Pacific Ocean. You can relax and watch a stunning sunset with the ocean breeze from your private balcony or cabana patio. The room is fitted with either a king or two queen beds.
Serenity Room
The serenity room is west facing and enjoys lovely views of the tower deck, dancing fire pit and the Pacific ocean. Enjoy all this from the comfort of your private patio and relax on the king or two queen beds that this room comes fitted with.
Spirit Pad
These deluxe rooms called spirit pads are fitted with two queen beds and have a tower deck view from the room. The room is fitted out with standard amenities of designer standards.
