YAVAPAI LODGE
Summary
The Yavapai Lodge is nestled within the woodlands and is the park's largest facility. It is roughly half a mile from the rim of the canyon. The rooms have been renovated with a modern feel, and a number of the services like cafes and grocery stores are within walking distance from the hotel. The lodge has rooms on the east and west side, however, the rooms on the west do not have aircon, and are equipped with a ceiling fan. The rooms in the east are larger and have views of the forest. The lodge is open March to November and through holidays in the winter.

The Flagstaff airport is about 90-min drive from the lodge. If coming by train the Grand Canyon Village station is about a nineteen-minute walk. The lodge also provides a free area shuttle.
Best time to go
To visit the south rim of the Grand Canyon the best months are March, April and May.
Our thoughts
The lodge has a prime location within the park and is about just a mile away from the southern rim of the Grand Canyon. The rooms cater to many different guest types from couples to families. Also this hotel is pet-friendly so great to go with added members of your family. It is a great base to start your adventure activities in the Canyon from.

Yavapai Lodge Restaurant – You can get breakfast, lunch and dinner at the restaurant, and the bar is there for enjoying a few cocktails.
YAVAPAI EAST KING ROOM
These rooms feature 1 King size bed and a "love seat" futon and can accommodate up to two guests. The room has air conditioning and a rollaway bed can be requested based on availability.
YAVAPAI EAST DOUBLE QUEEN ROOM
These rooms feature 2 Queen size beds and can accommodate up to 4 guests. The room is equipped with a private bathroom and has air conditioning and you can request for a crib or rollaway bed subject to availability.
YAVAPAI EAST KING FAMILY ROOM
These Family rooms feature 1 King size bed and a Twin-over-Twin bunk bed and can accommodate up to 4 guests. This room crib and rollaway beds are not available.
YAVAPAI EAST DOUBLE QUEEN FAMILY ROOM
These Family rooms feature 2 Queen size beds and a Twin-over-Twin bunk bed and can accommodate up to 6 guests.
YAVAPAI WEST DOUBLE QUEEN ROOM
All rooms in Yavapai West feature 2 Queen size beds and can accommodate up to 4 guests. These rooms do NOT have air conditioning, but are built on a single story and contain a ceiling fan to help keep you cool.
