Turks & Caicos
Do: No beach list is complete without at least one mention of the Caribbean and our favourite is Turks & Caicos. These Caribbean isles are truly spectacular and possibly the ultimate destination if you want to slow down, refresh and relax in paradise. While here we suggest you get out and try your hand at some fishing with a local fisherman, or charter a boat (or even yacht) and spend the day cruising around the islands – perfection.
Stay: Parrot Cay by COMO
Langkawi, Malaysia
Do: Langkawi is a wonderful choice for a beach stay because while you bathe in the sun on the pristine Malaysian beaches, you get to be surrounded by stunning, natural views. Malaysia really is something else! And when you’re not on the beach you can explore the abundant nature surrounding you: morning and evening nature walks are both on offer and are a great way to get up close to the incredible flora and fauna of Malaysia.
Stay: The Datai
Boracay, Philippines
Do: Boracay, an island located a short flight from either Cebu or Manilla in the Philippines, should be up there on your travel bucket list. Dream beaches surround the small Island and, should you tire of relaxing on one of the top beaches in the world, you can try one of the many water sports on offer, including scuba diving, parasailing and stand up paddling. At night the beaches come alive with music, fire breathers and dancing - a real buzz of holiday happiness and excitement fills the air.
Stay: Shangri-La Boracay Resort & Spa
Krabi. Thailand
Do: Known for its breathtakingly beautiful surroundings, Krabi is the perfect retreat for anyone who wants lazy beach days only a short flight from Bangkok. A great way to end a holiday to South East Asia as you can fly to Krabi Airport direct from Siem Reap, Phnom Penh, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur.
Stay: Ritz Carlton Phulay Bay
Bali, Indonesia
Do: Bali is a treat for the eyes - warm sunsets, colourful markets and views over the ocean that seemingly never end. When in Bali, experience the tempting Balinese cuisine with a local cooking class. Get out and about and visit the picturesque paddy fields or take a village trek. A great source of evening entertainment is the Devdan Show – a theatrical and acrobatic few hours that will no doubt leave you in awe. With so much on offer you will find it hard to choose what to do, just don’t forget to actually spend some time on the beach!

Stay: The Oberoi Mauritius
Palawan, Philippines
Do: The Philippines offers so many incredible beaches; another favourite of ours is in Palawan, in particular the truly breath-taking white scape of Huma Island. Think intimate, romantic, and luxurious. Spend your active days exploring the hidden lagoons, and your relaxed ones treating yourself to a massage and drinking a cocktail or two on the beach.
Stay: Huma Island Resort & Spa
Lombok, Indonesia
Do: If you are after a picture perfect beach with minimal crowds then Bali’s ‘little sister’ Lombok offers just that. Easy to reach from Bali and worth the extra effort to get there, Lombok is a must visit destination, in our opinion. A great place to learn to dive, rent a bicycle and just slow down and live a relaxed pace of life – for as long as you are there anyway! Very close by are the equally stunning Gili Islands, if you have time on your side they should be on the top of your to do list!
Stay: Hotel Tugu Lombok
Sihanoukville, Cambodia
Do: Truly Cambodia’s most luxurious hotel, set on its own private Island, an hour boat journey from the mainland. Gorgeous blue seas you can dip into from your room, incredible interiors, and absolute peace. Song Saa Private Island is worth every penny. This is the place to go for those who don’t want to do anything. The only thing we suggest here it to sunbathe on your terrace and let yourself totally relax and unburden any stress and worries you have been carrying around.
Stay: Song Saa Private Island
