Modelled after Shanghai in the 1930s, the building originally housed Bangkok’s first Chinese opera house in 1908. Awe-inspiring with extraordinary interiors, the opera was frequented by members of the Thailand Royal Family before it was reincarnated as Thailand’s stock exchange and textile trading centre. In 2005 Burasari Group transformed the former opera house into the beautiful artistic boutique hotel it is today.
