Malaysia generally has a humid, tropical climate year round, characterised by high year-round temperatures and only two distinct seasons, the dry season and the rainy season.

Rainy Season for the different regions as follows: 

West coast – May to October

East coast – September to December

Kuala Lumpur – March to April and September to November

Borneo – November to February

Best time to go

Trying to figure out the best time to go really depends on where you are travelling to. Popular destinations like Langkawi is fantastic when the dry season is from December to February, where as Borneo is best from March to April.
